人有了年纪，健康问题一一出现；房子旧了，也会出现各种问题。
前阵子，浴室顶层的部分洋灰忽然倒塌，差一点被砸到，还好逃过一劫，当时确实被吓到；厨房顶层也岌岌可危，Bryan都为我担心，还说它们像个孕妇，随时会分娩。上个星期请工匠来修复，据工匠说是顶层漏水导致洋灰潮湿才会发生这种事情。
在修复期间，大门敞开，邻居经过都会寒暄一下；其中，陈老先生的谈话给了我启示。陈老先生告诉我，他会安排好每天的活动，有时到熟食中心和老友喝茶聊天，有时则是和老伴到各个靠近地铁站的美食中心享受美食，要不然就去看一场电影，然后闲逛买些日常用品，回到家看看书，一天很快就过去了。他说，自己已经81岁了，时间在倒数中，别奢望还有几个10年，所以一定要开心过日子。
陈老先生真是一位乐天知命的豁达长者，值得我学习！

The kitchen ceiling at where I'm staying is facing the same problem too! The unannounced falling bits of the cracked & peeling ceiling is indeed heart stopping!
Nevertheless, glad to hear that you have given the ceiling a much needed facelift. Now, you can do your cooking, in the kitchen feeling safe. :)
