礼物

今早看见这份礼物，的确让我感到惊喜，这是Bryan在周末时偷放进包包里的，他常常做一些令我惊喜和感动的事。问他不是我的生日，为何送礼物，他说一定要生日才送礼物吗？上回和Bryan到曼谷时，原本打算在机上买一台来玩，最终还是打消了念头，没想到Bryan已经记在心中，真有我的心啊！可惜，他就是不想当我的干儿子，只希望和我成为忘年之交，其实想想也没什么，只要在彼此心中有对方，形式上大可不必拘泥。

我每天几乎都利用工作小休之际来玩TODAY上的sudoku，星期一和星期二的游戏最简单，一下子就让我给解决掉，星期五的最难破解，花的时间也比较长，有时需要一天，甚至要等到隔天才能完成。也不知道玩这个游戏是不是一项脑筋训练，无论如何，Bryan谢谢你！到现在我还舍不得把包装拆掉，因为这份礼物太珍贵了，就如礼物上的那个字Touch，so touch!!!


About Sudoku
Sudoku is a game of logic, based on a grid of 9 columns and 9 rows. This is sub-divided into nine 3 x 3 squares. A completed Sudoku puzzle comprises this grid completely filled with the numbers 1 - 9 appearing exactly once in each row, column and square.

Each Sudoku puzzle has one unique solution. The difficulty varies depending on how many numbers you are given to start with - the more numbers usually the easier the puzzle. Puzzles also tend to be symmetrical.

From the starting grid, you should be able to deduce the number that must go in every square of the grid, number by number. You should not have to guess at any values if the grid has been correctly generated.


Sudoku History
What is the history of this great logic puzzle?
Well, we have already seen what the word sudoku means.

Tracing the origin is a little harder, and ultimately comes down to how strict we are being. If we are talking literally about sudoku, then the answer is very recent.

However, if we are talking about number games in general from which sudoku might be thought to be derived, then the answer is a little different.

That's because the idea of the Magic Square has been around for many centuries, and it could have been these which sparked the idea for sudoku - they are in a sense related.

Additionally, Euler developed the Latin Square, another relation. Moving to the present era, a similar puzzle called Number Place appeared in American magazines in the 1970s.

It is believed the first true sudoku puzzle in the stricter sense is indeed very recent, appearing in Nikoli magazine in Japan.
